We are happy to carry through our program “BREAD OF LIFE” in institutions that are in charge of aiding women and girls in unfavorable conditions such as in shelters, prisons and caring homes in various countries in Central America and Latin America.
Knowing the current context and circumstances of some populations, we set ourselves to educate and impulse girls and women to learn the craft of cooking, in which we included the occupation of bakery to help them encourage and strengthen their self-esteem, recognizing their abilities to create, make and forge their own food, specially bread.
This program was established with the fixed intention of teaching tools that will become a gateway to contribute to their rehabilitation to be later inserted again into society.
Our program “Bread of Life”, consists of creating spaces in which girls and women are confined in judicial conditions to bring capacitation, education, and literature in this craft, fundamentally focusing on their empowerment as creators, developing their abilities.
The occupation of manipulating food and cooking supplies takes us to one of the oldest occupations in our society, especially the making of bread. Our wish is to bring them that knowledge in a simple, natural way that comes with a halo of contentment and a breath of hope in the moment they discover that they can still prepare to turn into professionals in the culinary arts.
We are glad to know that our workshops are a blessing for all the woman and girls that participate because the effort turns into the transference of education and discernment, transforming us into an instrument for capacitation, that empowers them when they discover and recognize their gifts and talents and in the same way, is used afterward proactively as an epicenter of their family core and of society.
